We booked Micky very early on after we got engaged. He did my friends wedding photos two years before and he was fantastic. We met around a year before our wedding for a pre shoot in a lovely area near where we live. These photos were amazing and we used them lots for things in our wedding like save the dates, envelope stickers and we had a canvas made. Micky made us feel at ease instantly. A few weeks before the wedding Micky came round to our house to discuss what specific photos we wanted like family shots, wedding party, natural etc. He arrived early in the morning of the wedding and got to work straight away. All our guests loved him too because he’s so friendly and chatty with everyone. Our photos are absolutely gorgeous!! We even got a dvd with a slide show and music. We cannot thank Micky enough for his amazing efforts as our wedding day photographer. We planned the whole day from abroad, and finding people we could depend on was tricky. One of the main things I was worried about was finding our photographer, and after a bit of a search, I started to wonder if we would ever find The One! Luckily, a friend came to the rescue and recommended Three Six Seven Nine. After seeing some of his photos, we knew instantly that Micky was exactly who we were looking for! He was absolutely fantastic, even making an effort to get to know us by email, which meant that when we did finally meet, we felt complete confidence in him – he really was an absolute star! On the day, he was consistently professional, and amazing at putting even the most camera shy guests at ease. His photos were inspired and really show off what a beautiful day it was – his approach put an even bigger smile on everyone's faces which has given us some absolutely beautiful natural photos - exactly what we were looking for! All the photos are absolutely amazing. He has even managed to capture the personalities of our guests, and capture the whole feel of different parts of the day. The whole album really means to world to us, and we are so proud to be able to share these special moments with friends and family all around the world.

We agonised over many decisions for our wedding, but who to use for our wedding photography was not one of them.   Three Six Seven Nine was one of the first suppliers we booked along with the church and the reception venue.   Micky’s availability was instrumental in choosing our wedding date as we knew we absolutely had to have him as our wedding photographer.
As Micky had taken photos of our new-born daughter, Olivia, in 2012, then at her Christening in 2013, we knew and trusted the style and quality of his work.   Micky is a talented photographer who can easily recognise the most beautiful possibilities and compositions in any given situation.   His intuitive ability to use the best of the light, weather and his subjects is second to none.  In addition to all of this, it helps that Micky is a thoroughly nice chap who is great to work with.
Before our wedding Micky took the time to understand what we wanted for our wedding.   In addition to great communication in the months preceding our big day, Micky arranged an engagement shoot for us.   Whilst this was an added bonus to the wedding package provided by Three Six Seven Nine, it is also testament to Micky’s attention to detail in preparation for the wedding.   The engagement shoot helps you, as a couple, to get used to being photographed – which for some (me certainly), does not always come naturally, unless you’re used to gracing the front cover of OK Magazine!!   
On the wedding day itself Micky was, as ever, the consummate professional.   He arrived promptly, and immediately set about seeing what he could capture until I was ready for my wedding preparation photos.   I loved the little details that Micky captured for us, such as the dresses, accessories, my beautiful shoes, jewellery etc.   Naturally, I was a bundle of nervous excitement on the morning of the wedding, Micky helped to diffuse any nervous tension with light-hearted conversation in between setting up shots and talking me through things.   Throughout the wedding day itself Micky worked tirelessly to get the best shots for us using the best of the light, weather and the stunning grounds and features at Yeldersley Hall.  I feel that Micky has the balance just right, he worked hard to capture the best moments and features of the day but achieved this without having to spend hours and hours of staging photos and without being obtrusive.  We are so pleased to have a wedding album which captures perfectly the best day of our lives.  We can re-live it through wonderful images whenever we choose and look forward to sharing the memories with our family for many years to come. 

I whole-heartedly recommend Three Six Seven Nine to anyone planning their wedding or any other special occasion they wish to capture.

I had been searching for local photographers for our wedding for some time, we had a very specific idea in mind for our special day, and none of the photographers we saw fit the bill. Then I came across Michael at Three Six Seven Nine on facebook, and after a quick browse of the photos, I contacted him and after a few chats we decided Michael was the photographer for us.We had a pre-wedding meeting to discuss our requirements, which meant we didn't have to do this on the day. On the day Michael came to the wedding prep and stayed until after the first dance! Most photographers we looked at left after the wedding breakfast... so this was an added bonus as we have some lovely pictures of our evening guests! Which would of been missed otherwise!Michael provided a disk of the Photos and a slideshow... (the slideshow was an amazing extra - a lovely idea to show family and friends the images)

Gavin & I got married in May 2014 & had the privilege to have Michael as are photographer, a lot off people recommended him to us & the work we had seen that he had done was excellent, he really made the effort to make sure we was happy with everything, felt comfortable having the photos taken & also took the time in his own time so find the best places for are wedding photos to be taken, everybody commented on how nice Michael was & how beautiful the photos were.

Eddie and I had the most amazing wedding day! Neither of us are particularly fond of being in front of the camera however the style of photography Mike adopted we did not even know he was there at times, making us feel really relaxed and allowed us to enjoy our whole day. We are really pleased with the photos that we have received, which not only included the traditional shots that we asked for but also natural ones of guests enabling us to see what we may have missed during the day. Mike was extremely professional yet fitted in perfectly during the day, I cannot rate the service we received any higher and have recommended him to many people since. The photos we have now allows us to look back very fondly on what was the most perfect day!

We had our engagement shoot and wedding pictures with Three Six Seven Nine. We were both a little apprehensive about the engagement shoot, especially when Micky took us 'off-road'! However, we completely trusted him. Micky manages to create a relaxing and fun atmosphere allowing the most natural moments to be captured. 

Our wedding day was perhaps more of a challenge as the weather was so bad that all of our pictures had to be taken inside. Micky still caught every shot to perfection. We did not want too many staged shots and Micky took that on board. The final results were pictures that re-told our day as we remembered it. We couldn't have asked for more. 

Micky is definitely now our family photographer! 

 

 

Glyn, Louise & Olivia: 2012, 2013 & 2014

"By July 2014, Micky will have done a photography ‘hat-trick’ for our family, by capturing three very important and special occasions in our lives. 

Newborn portrait: Micky’s first took some photos for us in mid-May 2012 when our daughter, Olivia, was just two weeks old. We wanted to capture some professional quality pictures of Olivia whilst she still had that ‘new-born’ look. Being a new Mum, I was concerned about feeling at ease, about a shoot being ‘convenient’ and the fact that I was very tired!! I need not have worried as Micky made the whole experience very easy and comfortable by bringing his pop-up studio to our house. It was also an advantage that Micky’s style matched my own tastes in that the resulting photos were very natural but poignant and beautiful. Micky has the ability to anticipate and capture special fleeting moments, I really believe this is an essential skill for any successful photographer. It also helps greatly that Micky is genuinely a nice guy who makes the whole experience enjoyable and fun!

Christening:  In the Spring of 2013, we decided to have our daughter christened. As we were delighted with Olivia’s new-born portraits, we didn’t even consider another photographer and got in touch with Micky straight away to book his photography services for Olivia’s special day. Once again, Micky did not disappoint!  Micky is very trustworthy and reliable, he was already at the church before us on the day of the Christening, having spoken with the vicar to establish what was appropriate in church, he had taken the initiative and control of the situation to get the most out of the day.  There was an added challenge for Micky as the church was undergoing structural repairs and therefore, much to our dismay, there was scaffolding everywhere inside and we couldn’t use the font area for safety reasons. Micky overcame this problem by capturing some wonderful photos, choosing angles to avoid the scaffolding where possible and capturing our friends and family as they arrived and took their seats.  We had some beautiful photos in the nave of the church with the stained glass windows in the background. 

Another skill of Micky’s is that he is very discreet when the occasion calls for it, this was one of those occasions as the vicar didn’t want photos during the main part of the service.  Later at the ‘reception’, Micky captured many lovely moments with family and friends, some beautiful, some funny and others telling the story of the day. I would recommend Micky to any of my friends, he makes the experience of recording special moments an effortless one, leaving you to enjoy your day and be ‘in the moment’ so that you don’t have to stop and stage photos if you don’t want to.   Of course, if you want more formal shots, Micky definitely knows what looks good and can direct with ease.

Wedding:  The final shot of the hat-trick is our wedding in July 2014. It really was a ‘no-brainer’... After being so happy with the photos we have of our daughter as a new-born and those taken at her Christening, we knew we had to book Micky for our wedding day. It really has taken the stress out of the process as I already have peace of mind that we will have wonderful photos of our day to look back on in years to come. We’ve had some dilemmas during the planning of the wedding so far, with availability of certain services being an issue and compromises have had to be made, one compromise we were not prepared to make was missing out on having Micky as our photographer. " 

 

Georgie, Amanda & Simon: September 2013

"When our daughter Georgie arrived, we wanted to have some professional photographs taken. We contacted Michael who managed to squeeze us in the very next weekend. This making Georgie only 10 days old when the pictures were going to be taken. We knew this was going to be tricky with feeding and sleeping needs! However from the minute Michael arrived at our home he was so patient with us and understanding. The whole afternoon was relaxed and a very happy occasion for us.

We are really happy with our photos and have special memories to keep forever. Michael’s imagination, care and attention to detail sets his photography apart from any other we have seen. We would highly recommend Michael to anyone, he really does take pride in his work and is a true professional."

"Bez and myself had the most amazing wedding day imaginable but, as the bride, the build up on the morning was so important to me aswell!! Michael "Micky" Hope-Smith not only provided the most amazing photographs, telling a story from start to finish, but also added something which money couldn't buy, his unique, witty sense of humour which, I found, could rival Peter Kay! He made me feel calm and at ease from the offset, and judging how my children behaved around him, and the shots he got of them, could give Supernanny a run for her money!!  As I previously said, the photographs were absolutely amazing, and I got exactly what I had asked for!  The only regret both Bez and I have, is the fact that we didn't book him for longer during the day!!  I can't recommend his service enough and, I must add, that as well as "making" my wedding morning, he remained extremely professional throughout!
